Edo 2016: APC settles for central district for deputy governorship

The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dashed the hopes of candidates from the central senatorial zone of the state. 

Consequently, the party has zoned the deputy governorship slot to the area. 

The state chairman of the party in the state, Mr. Anselm Ojezua has disclosed that the meeting which was called on instance of Governor Adams Oshiomhole. 

Oshiomhole reportedly told the meeting bluntly told the Edo Central Leaders in the meeting that Professor Osariemien Osunbor, Barrister Ken Imasuenagbon, Comrade Peter Esele to forget about their governorship ambition. 

The governor was also quoted to have denied the rumoured of marginalized of the Esan people by his government, adding that, his children are from Esan. 

Our sources said after three hours of deliberation on critical issues affecting the Esan people, the Governor denied having hands in the removal of Hon. Victor Edoror as Speaker. 

Chief Francis Inegbeneki, was said to have  apologized to the Governor after he was accused by the governor of fronting the Esan agenda.
