Manhunt for fleeing husband accused of killing his wife

Men of the Edo State Police Command have begun manhunt for a 30-year old man identified as Henry Ekukpe who reportedly killed by his wife simply known as Patience.

 

According to the police command, the suspect is yet to be seen after butchering his wife.

 

Sources said the killing was as a result of some unresolved matrimonial dispute, adding that the unfortunate incidence occurred at 19, Oloko Street, Eyean quarters in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of the state.

 

It was learnt that Henry used cutlass to hack his wife on the face, arms and chest.

 

Their baby was said to be at the scene of the crime.

 

Edo police spokesman, DSP Osifo Abiodun, who confirmed the incident to newsmen in his office in Benin, the state capital stated that efforts were on to apprehend the suspect.
