Rivers governor suspends commissioner, A’ General

Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike of Rivers has ordered the suspension of the state’s Commissioner for Finance and Accountant General over a yet-to-be ascertained reason.

 

A statement issued by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media; Mr. Simeon Nwakaudu, in Port Harcourton Friday.

 

In it, Nwakaudu said that Dr Fred Kpakol, the commissioner and Sir Abere Dagogo, the accountant general, had been suspended by the governor. 

It said the suspension took immediate effect, but did not give any reason for the suspension of the two senior government officials.
