Yudala, Nigeria’s first true composite online and offline retail chain is set to unveil Mobile Monday, a weekly mega sales promotion

being positioned as the largest single day sales of mobile devices on the continent starting from today, February 1st 2016.

According to Afam Anyika, Marketing Communications Manager, Yudala, “Mobile Monday comes with a surprise in the mobile segment of our total products basket. Nigerians and corporate organizations will have the advantage of buying mobile phones, tablets, laptops, accessories and other consumables of different international brands in large quantities as over 500,000 units will be on sale every Monday.

“It is a platform to express our confidence in the digital world and avail Nigerians the opportunity to buy at right prices. This is another corporate initiative from Yudala to stimulate transition from analogue to digital world and moving customers from 2G to 3G inorder to enhance their communication profile and lifestyle as this century demands.”

While confirming that Yudala is partnering with many international OEMs on the project, Anyika confirms Mobile Monday will run throughout 2016 to compliment other lead products offerings by Yudala such as theNeighbour to NeighbourMega Deals, Monthly Midday Madness Sales, Yu-jara, Nigeria’s single largest festive season sales promo, amongst others being launched.

Yudala, also added another significant feather to its increasingly decorated cap by coming out on top of a list recently put together by world’s leading search engine Google, highlighting the top ten trending Nigerian brands of 2015.

The exclusive list, which has Yudala in second place behind Air Peace, captures the top brands which retained the interest of Nigerians and saw the highest spike in traffic over a sustained period last year.

This impressive feat by Yudala, coming on the heels of a growing litany of landmark achievements and within barely five months of the company’s existence, will certainly go a long way in dispelling any lingering doubts about the ambition of the visionariesto see the brand assume leadership of the Nigerian and African e-commerce market.

According to Google, Yudala had made huge waves in the marketplace following the launch of Yudala Online in August 2015, especially with its ground-breaking promise to deliver purchases via drones. Reports of its first successful drone-powered drop-off in November had subsequently kept Nigerians talking for the rest of the year.

Interestingly, Yudala is the only e-commerce outfit recognized by Google as there was no place for any other brand in the sector on the list, with the likes of Smile Communications, Uber and Innjoo, among others propping up the list.

Speaking on the latest recognition, Founder/Vice President, Yudala, Prince Nnamdi Ekeh, reaffirmed the company’s commitment and determination to take charge and set the pace in the Nigerian e-commerce and offline retail sector. “I am certainly delighted with the recognition we have received from Google, which is one of the world’s most popular and globally renowned outfits. It is a testimony to the hard work we have put in as well as the sound strategies we have in place at Yudala” he said.
